Call Center Services

A department can request a call queue if they are needing to manage/track and keep statistics on calls coming into their department. This is a great solution for those who receive an abundant amount of calls, i.e. Financial Aid, Admissions, Advising, IT, etc. Currently Cisco Finesse is our call center software and may require some end user training.

You can use Unified CCX applications to route calls to specific agents. You can also integrate Unified CCX with Unified IP IVR to gather caller data and classify incoming calls.Unified CCX includes a web-based real-time and historical reporting system that you can use to monitor system, Contact Service Queue (CSQ), and resource performance.

Domain Name System (DNS) is the Internet’s equivalent of a phone book for computer and other network named decives. The external DNS services run on Linux service and the internal DNS runs on Windows servers. Our DNS services basically translate our computer domain names to IP addresses. Translates our computer domain names into IP addresses.

The university wireless network is available to all EWU students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors. Currently, wireless network access is available in most common areas of campus buildings and outdoor spaces.

Telecommunications

EWU Communications provides the voice, video and data telecommunications services to faculty, staff and students on the University's Cheney campus and to faculty and staff at outlying University sites.

Communications infrastructure support is available. Assistance for connection to the University's network resources as well as obtaining long distance and cellular service is provided. For State funded entities, there is no charge for local telephone service and connect time to the University's network. Charges for telephone and network installation may apply.

Telecommunications: New line of Service

For a New Line of Service, users receive a new VoIP device that has long distance enabled. Users also have a voicemail account set up with the new extension.  All of our Cisco IP phones provide the highest quality of sound, have speaker phones and headset capabilities. For more details visit:
