All Faculty Brown Bag: Using Evidence to Improve Student Learning

January 26, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm

Please join us at the Faculty Commons for the third New Faculty Orientation Workshop: Using Evidence to Improve Student Learning. Evidence gathered via exams, research papers, and projects can be used to determine how well students are learning. While these sources yield quality results, they often don’t provide immediate feedback. In this workshop, we will talk about options available to collect immediate feedback or evidence from students and how that information can be used to improve their learning. We will discuss traditional paper-and-pen methods as well as some that incorporate technology.

Before the workshop, please read the article on long-term assessment and how it can be used to improve student learning.
