Statement from the Associated Students of Eastern Washington University
Dear Campus Community,
On behalf of the ASEWU Council, we want to share with you that there has been a shift in our executive leadership team as a result of ASEWU Superior Court hearing, case #001J Fillingim v. Nall, on November 2, 2021.
Karina Baum, our former Executive Vice President, is now serving as President. Remington Steelman, the former Student Health and Safety Services Representative and Council Pro-Tem, is now serving as the Executive Vice President. These changes became effective on November 8, 2021.
ASEWU strives to represent students and ensure their voices are heard. This shift in leadership will not change that. We are very excited to see how Karina and Remington, in their new roles, will continue bringing a positive change to the campus community and building upon the great work already accomplished by ASEWU.
Thank you to our students, faculty, and staff for their support and understanding while we make this transition.
