Research Misconduct

It is the policy of Eastern Washington University to adhere to the highest standards of integrity and ethics in the pursuit of research. The University assumes responsibility for resolving allegations and investigating misconduct in research and scholarship that may apply to its faculty, staff and students.

Research misconduct is defined as fabrication, falsification or plagiarism in proposing, performing or reviewing research, or in reporting research results.

It is the duty of faculty, staff or students to report any suspected violations of this policy or of any related federal or state law or regulation to the Provost.
