The Office of Grant and Research Development (OGRD) partners with faculty and staff to ensure proper submission of all proposals for external funding. OGRD manages the processing of all grant and contract agreements, provides tools and oversight for award management, and ensures compliance with all federal, state, and university regulations, policies, and procedures.

OGRD's vision is to create a culture where grant-seekers and project directors feel confident and supported in a community of peers. Our mission is to inspire, support, and supply EWU faculty and staff with the tools to pursue grants and research as a community of practice.

Seed Grant Opportunity for Faculty and Staff: Pre-Applications OPEN NOW for Summer 2024 Opportunity to Write and Develop Grant Proposals

Together with the Provost’s Office, the Office of Grant and Research Development (OGRD) has created the inaugural Summer Proposal Development Academy (SPDA) to build the capacity for EWU faculty and staff to write grant and contract proposals this Summer 2024. All EWU faculty and non-student staff may apply for this $5,000 opportunity.

Deadlines to Apply

• Pre-applications are due March 25; The pre-application’s function is to help potential applicants (a) determine a funding opportunity; and (b) pre-determine logistics of course release/buy-out or job duties release/overtime (in case of a staff applicant).
• If invited, full applications are due April 25
