Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI)

EWU is a member of the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) where a number of research e-training modules are available in content areas that include human subjects research, laboratory animal use, responsible conduct of research, clinical practice and HIPAA, among other areas. CITI training may be required by your instructor as part of your research methods class or as a condition of your thesis project.

To access CITI training:

Go to: www.citiprogram.org
If you have an account, log on
If you are new to CITI, click on Register
Select EWU from the Participating Institutions drop down menu

When course is completed, a copy of the certificate will be forwarded to the Grants Office. Print a copy of the certificate for your records and provide a copy to your faculty advisor as required.

The site is largely intuitive but if you need more guidance the first time you log on, then you might want to review the new learner instructions found at: http://www.citiprogram.org/citidocuments/welcome/newlearnerinstructions.pdf.
