Jasmine Joy Paloma, McNair Scholar: A Trailblazer in Social Work and Advocacy!

We are immensely proud of Jasmine Joy Paloma, a dedicated McNair Scholar who will graduate this June 2026 with a major in social work and minors in sociology, and anthropology from EWU. As a first-generation college student, Jasmine has consistently excelled, earning a spot on the dean’s list and serving as the president of the Asian Student Association Club, which she helped establish. With plans to attend the University of Washington for her Master of Social Work in the fall, Jasmine aims to further her research in social justice and historical oppression to better serve marginalized communities. Her commitment to advocacy and academic excellence is truly inspiring. You will do amazing things, Jasmine!
