May Semester Commencement Ceremony
Friday, May 2, 2025

Pavilion – Reese Court

This event would not be possible without the help of amazing staff and volunteers like you!

With the exception of set-up/clean-up, volunteers will be asked to check-in at south entrance to Reese Court (bottom of ramp and to your left) at 8:00 am. Most duties will be complete by 11:00 am or before.  Please see the description of volunteer positions below.

Stationed in the student line-up area, this position will give students their name card as they arrive and answer any questions they may have. This position may also include assisting students with regalia/hoods and assisting with line-up.

Volunteers needed: 6

Volunteer Shift: 7:00 am-9:30 am

Stationed in the faculty green room, this position assists faculty/platform party with their regalia and assists with line-up.

Volunteers needed: 2

Volunteer Shift: 7:00 am-9:30 am

Stationed at key entries into Reese Court, this position welcomes guests and assist them with locating the ceremony.

Volunteers needed: 6

Volunteer Shift: 8:00 am-11:00 am

Stationed at the doors of Reese Court, this position hands out programs to guests. This position will also assist with seating of guests.

Volunteers needed: 6

Volunteer Shift: 8:00 am-10:30 am

Line marshals will direct the procession/recession of students, faculty and platform party. In addition, this position directs students to the stage for hooding and to receive their diploma cover.

Volunteers needed: 4

Volunteer Shift: 8:00 am-11:30 am

This position will assist with set-up and clean-up duties that may include: signage placement, loading/unloading of supplies, etc.

Volunteer Set-up Shift: 7:00 am-9:00 am

Volunteer Clean-up Shift: 11:00 am-Noon
