Advanced Search Tips

When you use In Any of these you are asking Navigate to use an OR function. For example: If you input Fall 2019, Winter 2020, and Spring 2018 terms in the Enrollment Terms (In Any these) search function then search. You will be searching for all the students who were enrolled in Fall 2019, or Winter 2020, or Spring 2018. The results of the search will encompass all students enrolled in Fall 2019, Winter 2020, and Spring 2018.

When you use In All of these you are asking Navigate to use an AND function. For example: If you input Fall 2019, Winter 2020, and Spring 2018 terms in the Enrollment Terms (In All of these) search function then search. You will be searching for all the students enrolled in Fall 2019, and Winter 2020, and Spring 2018. The results of the search will encompass all students who have been enrolled in Fall 2019, and Winter 2020, and Spring 2018. Meaning that a student who was registered in Fall 2019, but not Spring 2018 would not show up in the resulting search.

You can save any search after making your search then scrolling to the top of the page and clicking on Save to input the name of your saved search. You can recall any of your saved searches by clicking on the drop-down arrow next to Saved Searches on the Advanced Search page.
