Step 1: Preparation

    • Select Strategic Planning Committee Members
    • Research/Data/Analytics
    • Conduct SWOT Analysis
    • Strategic Plan Facilitation team is formed

Step 2: Bringing Everyone on Board

    • Begin development of mission, vision, and values

    • Begin development of goals for the strategic plan

Step 3: Connecting the dots

    • Continue developing draft goals for the strategic plan

    • Create criteria, goals, and objectives for working groups

Step 4: Establish the Targets

    • Begin collecting nominations for working groups

Step 5: Charting the course

    • Working groups are established and begin regular meeting cadence
    • Equity Lense training conducted for all participants in the Strategic Planning Process
    • Work groups draft goal statements and desired outcomes

    • Working groups continue to meet at a regular cadence
    • Work groups draft goal statements and desired outcomes
    • BOT Meeting – Mission, Vision, Values and progress of goal statements and desired outcomes
    • Town hall #3 to present to campus community progress made on goal statements and desired outcomes
  • March 2024
    • Working groups review town hall feedback and receive training on developing strategies
    • Working groups develop strategies

    • Work groups finish developing strategies
    • Working groups review strategies
    • Strategic Planning Committee reviews strategies from working groups

    • Working groups review town hall feedback
    • Working groups review town hall feedback, finalize strategies, and submit strategies to SPC
    • Board Of Trustees meeting

    • Strategic Planning Committee to review and finalize the plan with appropriate internal and external stakeholders, submits recommendation to the president
