This tool helps reduce the stress of the students while also helping the students self-regulate. This also allows the students a break during learning so that the students don’t become overwhelmed. This tool allows students to develop their creativity as well as their social skills. With brain breaks, teachers can choose different types of activities, such as a dance, small workout or even a quick game with the whole class. It can be used anytime of the day. This tool would relate to the preventative as well as the supportive phase. The reason is because brain breaks help the students relieve stress that may be built up and allow them to take a mental break from learning. It allows the students to as well release frustration that they may have.

This tool (bain breaks) can help prevent behaviors in the classroom. This tool can also be supportive for the students because it helps the students become more or stay engaged during learning inside of the classroom. This as well helps the students increase their energy, productivity inside of the classroom and increase their ability to focus inside the classroom. Brain breaks can be student directed/collaborative (they can choose which kind of brain break) and teacher based/collaborative as the teacher is able to implement a brain break throughout the school day. It can be used as many times as needed inside of the classroom and a great management tool for a classroom.
