Welcome to the website of the EWU Disease Ecology Lab!
The mission of this lab is to protect people, livestock and wildlife from infectious diseases caused by pathogens primarily transmitted by arthropods, such as ticks, mosquitoes and other insects. In our lab, we combine field sampling with mathematical and statistical models. For molecular analysis of our collected samples, we collaborate heavily with other labs at EWU and elsewhere. Most our current projects are in collaboration with the Zoonotic Disease unit of the Washington State Department of Health, as well as with other faculty at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. However, we’re always open for interesting and useful new projects, and have an eclectic taste for collaborations.
We are located in 272 Science Building on the campus of Eastern Washington University, in Cheney, WA. If you’d like to contact us, feel free to send an email to kmagori@ewu.edu.
