A native Washingtonian, I began as a Longshoreman and a Teamster in Seattle and Bellingham. After earning the PhD back East, I am grateful to have found my way back home.
Grateful also to cherish the teaching, students who make classwork rewarding, and support for public scholarship.
As a scholar and a writer, I am interested chiefly in the environmental humanities, particularly in how creative writing and culture studies may nourish one another.
