A native Washingtonian, I began as a Longshoreman and a Teamster in Seattle and Bellingham. After earning the PhD back East, I am grateful to have found my way home.
Grateful also to cherish teaching, the students who make classes rewarding, and support for public scholarship.
As a writer I am interested chiefly in the environmental humanities, more particularly in how creative writing and culture studies may nourish one another.
