Teacher Too is assigning a student in the class as a teacher assistant of the week. The student is responsible for helping other students in the class when they are lost in discussion or what is expected of them. This tool is helpful when the teacher is running small groups and other students in the class need help with instructions. It guides students to know they can ask other classmates for help and not always rely on the teacher for help.
This tool is helpful when the teacher is running small groups and other students in the class need help with instructions. It guides students to know they can ask other classmates for help and not always rely on the teacher for help. This tool should be implemented when students understand what responsibility means and how to practice being responsible. Implementing this tool in my placement I found it successfully during small group instruction. Having a teacher assistant is giving students more of an opportunity to collaborate and help each other strive and thrive when learning together.
I would place this tool into the supportive phase. I placed this tool to be supportive because students are responsible for their learning and behavior. This tool helps students make prosocial choices needed for their own benefit to be successful in a class by communicating effectively with their peers.
I believe this tool is the student-directed theory of influence because each student is responsible for their own behavior on how to effectively communicate together.
