Prose by Any Other Name

What exactly is prose? How can everything that isn’t poetry fall into this one category? Merriam Webster calls prose an “ordinary” form, but there is nothing ordinary about the writing of these three talented regional writers! Join us at Spokane Falls Community College for a conversation on writing from three of our region’s rising stars in fiction and nonfiction. Leyna Krow, Chelsea Martin, and Leah Sottile’s work covers many different forms of prose including long form journalism, true crime, podcasting, personal essay, coming of age novel, the short story, and more. These writers will be in conversation with poet and professor Laura Read and the event will be presented in the Palek Auditorium (building 24).
