2023 Will Mark Our 25th Anniversary!

Thursday, April 20, 2023 - Sunday, April 23, 2023

Get Lit! is excited to announce that the current U.S. Poet Laureate, Ada Limón, will be one of 2023's headlining authors. Ada will be participating in an evening reading and conversation with other writers and she will also be teaching a craft class!

We held 15 events as well as our book fair featuring 25+ bookish organizations at the Montvale Event Center! We also had Doma Coffee Roasters serving free coffee in the morning and Feast World Kitchen serving meals for purchase.

We hosted a conversation on writing and directing for the world of film with Ken Kwapis, Eric Horsted, Karl Schaefer, Delondra Mesa, Misty Grace, and Rebecca Cook.

Turning Tables and Bending Villains (1)

We were lucky enough to have our first-ever events surrounding the world of gaming. Beth The Bard will be joining us for a panel discussion on the intricacies of life as a game writer. She will then act as Dungeon Master for a Live RPG game!

Inspired Partnerships Program

Since 2017, local bars and restaurants have been creating drinks inspired by our authors and donating $1 from each sale back to the festival.
