How Does Language Shape Our Thinking and Relationships? With The Premise Institute

June 11, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for an engaging, one-session discussion, where we will delve into the central question: “How does language shape our thinking and relationships?” We will examine the powerful role of language in shaping our identity, actions, and thinking as we read and discuss Lulu Miller’s “Why Fish Don’t Exist” in its entirety and excerpts from Lawrence Weinstein’s “Grammar for a Full Life” Together, we will explore the fascinating ways in which language influences our understanding of the world, our experiences, and our interactions with others. All are welcome to participate in this thought-provoking and interactive course.

During the session, we will discuss these readings and examine how language forms categories, narratives, and stories that influence our personal lives and contemporary society.
