Q: Which events require tickets?
A:
- An Evening with Carmen Maria Machado
- Craft Classes
- The Book Fair Pass
We do have a few options this year for bundling tickets. See our options here (ticket link coming soon).
Q: Does the Book Fair Pass cover entry into all festival events?
A: No. The Book Fair Pass ONLY covers the 10+ events happening at the festival hub, the Montvale Event Center from 9:00am-5:30pm on Saturday, along with the Book Fair.
Q: I’m an EWU student and would like to attend the festival for free. How can I get tickets?
A: If you are an EWU student studying creative writing (undergrad or grad) you can email us (getlit@ewu.edu) for a special code for free tickets.
If you are an EWU student in any other department or a student from any other local college or university, please email us to ask about scholarship opportunities.
Q: Are there any other events not listed above that require paid entry?
A: Yes. Pie & Whiskey is a paid event ($5) and is also 21+. This event is first-come-first-served and $5 is required at the door. Credit cards will be accepted.
Q: What about parking at events?
A: Most of our events are downtown and so attendees will need to use paid parking meters or paid lots. Please check parking rules at each venue before arriving.
Q: I'm visiting from out of town, where should I stay and are there any discounts available?
A: We do have some discounts available from local hotels. See below. We also recommend the Montvale Hotel (which is very close to our venues) or any Davenport Hotel.
- The Courtyard Spokane Downtown at the Convention Center is offering 10% off their daily rate. Must book before March 11th. Book here.
- The Best Western Plus City Center is offering festival authors and attendees a discounted rate of $169/night +tax. Book here.
