A Few Things to Know About Internships

In the School of Education, we believe internships are critical for our students’ success. We believe internships help to prepare student-centered educators to be professionals, leaders, scholars, and practitioners. This is why we require every student in our graduate programs to complete internship courses.

  1. Internships are NOT offered during the summer session.
  2. Only Literacy and Early Childhood Education do not require a placement. These internships are Canvas based.
  3. All other programs require an Internship Verification Form to be completed at least 6 weeks prior to the start of the internship.
  4. CTE Admin and Principal Certificate only start Fall QTR. *These programs have a separate application process then the form listed below.
  5. Internship activities are directed by your professor via Canvas.
  6. All internship courses are Pass/Fail.
  7. Health & Physical Education internship courses have prerequisites.
  8. Students are required to secure their own internship placement.
  9. All students should follow their program’s specific internship guidelines.
  10. Internship Verification Form must be submitted to enroll in your internship course on EagleNet (with the exception of Literacy and Early Childhood Education).
