Faculty Champions Program
Position Overview and Application
Are you an EWU faculty person interested in supporting your peers with all things advising-related? Would you like to be a part of EWU’s prestigious Title III Project with the goal of supporting excellent faculty advising at Eastern? If so, you have come to the right place.
A main aspect of Eastern’s Title III project is providing advising-related support for faculty advisors ensuring our Eastern students a seamless advising experience – from day one through graduation.
As a Faculty Champion, you will be integrated into Eastern’s Student Success Collaborative (SSC) and the associated Advisory Council tasked with guiding the implementation of EWU’s Title III project. You will bring our faculty’s voice to the table in the work that this Collaborative is doing.
This role requires the champion to go above and beyond the traditional duties of a faculty advisor, becoming a lead trainer, thought-partner, and ally for other faculty advisors in your college. We will have two champions per college each year for 2021 through 2025.
This role is a 16-month long position and runs October through the following December. There is compensation for this role: $2500 stipend ($500 per quarter).
