What We Learned

Our thinking that still exists is the necessity to challenge students to apply this skill to other mediums in which they will engage in mathematical text and the learning of mathematics. We have added a document to our tool with questions that could be utilize to support student thinking and learning as they engage with multiple mediums of mathematical information be it text, the internet, a lecture, etc. We also wonder if future iterations with students who are more accustomed to this tool would include asking students to write the statements that would be classified as either sometimes, always, or never true.
