Vanessa is from El Paso, Texas and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Northern Arizona University. She came to EWU in March of 2018 from the University of Kansas where she managed the Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity. Vanessa is passionate about helping students build community on campus and working to raise the voice of underrepresented students. Vanessa would love to meet you, stop by and say hello soon!

Jocelyn is from Pasco, WA, and an EWU alum who earned her Bachelor’s in Political Science in 2016. During her undergrad she worked with the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) as a mentor and tutor. After graduation she worked in school districts, non-profit organizations, and CAMP at Columbia Basin College. Jocelyn is pursuing a dual master’s degree in Public Administration and Social Work in order to continue being an advocate for her community. Reach out to Jocelyn she would love to hear from you!

Angela-Merici Fifita Vakauta is a first generation college student from Federal Way, WA studying Public Health. Angela’s goal is to accentuate the importance of cultural sensitivity in healthcare management as well as educate communities about their rights to genuinely equitable care. Angela’s family comes from the Kingdom of Tonga-an island nation located in the South Pacific and she is proudly bilingual and biliterate in both English and Tongan. Angela hopes to work closely with Asian American/Pacific Islander students on the Eastern campus. Reach out to Angela, she’s happy to help you navigate your way around campus!
Gracia was born in Beirut, Lebanon, raised in the Greater Seattle Area, and is currently a junior double majoring in Psychology and Africana Studies. Gracia hopes to work with low-income, marginalized communities struggling with mental health and trauma. Gracia has served as Black Student Union President since 2018 with a focus on reeducation about what it means to be Black in America and reclaiming Black excellence. Gracia strives to create a unified campus, while showcasing the importance of representation and inclusion. Reach out to Gracia for anything or just to say hello!
