This tool helps manage the classroom and noise within the classroom. This tool, bouncy balls, has a integrated noise meter which automatically detetcs the students noise levels in the classroom and sends off alert signals if it gets too loud.
This tool is used to help students keep the noise level at an acceptable level inside the classroom. This can be used for students that my have sensory/sensitive levels of volume inside of the classroom. The tool should be used when students are either working in groups or with a partner. This tool can be used with many different grades (K-5th). Important things to keep in mind, there may be days where this tool may work and days where the tool does not work but always be consistent if you are going to be using this tool inside of your classroom.
This tool relates to the preventive phase. This is because it helps prevent the classroom from becoming too loud for students who may be sensitive to noise. It can also help with classroom management, keeping students on task while keeping an appropriate voice level. This tool aligns with being student directed as well as collaborative. This is because students are responsible for their own behavior, in this case the level of their voices during their group/partner activity. There is some guidance done by the teacher but when the tool goes off due to the high noise level, students will learn that they will have to lower their voices in order for the alram to not go off.
