NGSS
With the arrival of the Next Generation Science Standards, science education has undergone a major shift in intended direction. However, if elementary teachers do not feel prepared and empowered to provide authentic scientific inquiry in their classrooms the reality will fall far short of the lofty NextGen goals. A couple of resources that Gus would suggest as you pursue development as a science teacher include this great video series on the NGSS by Paul Andersen and the NSTA’s NGSS Hub.
