Humanities Washington

Website: https://www.humanities.org/

We would like to begin by acknowledging that we present this festival from the traditional lands of the Spokane People, who have stewarded this land for generations.

The Washington State Poet Laureate Rena Priest's appearance at the festival is sponsored by Humanities Washington and The Washington State Arts Commission/ArtsWA, with the support of Governor Jay Inslee.

Humanities Washington is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to sparking conversation and critical thinking, and it provides hundreds of cultural programs to hundreds of thousands of people throughout Washington each year.
Washington State Arts Commission/ArtsWA is a state agency whose mission is to nurture and support the role of the arts in the lives of all Washingtonians.

Thanks to funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts, the Washington State Poet Laureate participates in readings, workshops, ceremonies, and events in all corners of the state. I would encourage you to visit the Poet Laureate’s website—www.wapoetlaureate.org--to find other events like this one.
