Andy Brown

Andy Brown

Andy Brown grew up playing war in the rain-soaked woods of Port Orchard, Washington and joined the military in 1989, shortly after graduating high school. He served in the Air Force for 10 years as a Law Enforcement Specialist and Criminal Investigator, stationed in Idaho, Greece, Washington, Hawaii and New Mexico.

As a young military policeman, Brown ended an active-shooter killing spree at the Fairchild Air Force Base hospital. After years of research and interviews, he wrote Warnings Unheeded. The book is part of his ongoing effort to share the lessons learned from the Fairchild tragedies and his experience with the effects of trauma.

Brown now lives in the Spokane, Washington area and works for the Department of Homeland Security.
