My goal in life is to unite my avocation with my vocation, as my two eyes make one sight. ~ Robert Frost
Q1: Is short-term coaching in entrepreneurship the same as volunteering?
A1: No. Coaching teaches knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) (i.e., competencies). Volunteering is simply any unpaid and uncoerced work. It does not develop natural talents and/or acquired KSAs in an instructional training relationship between people, such as that of sports coaches-athletes and teachers-students. While coaches and athletes/teachers and students may volunteer their time on individual and/or group bases, random volunteers help people on an ad hoc basis for various tasks.
