ALERRT Active Threat Training

The Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) program provides critical, evidence-based instruction on how to effectively respond during active threat situations. While originally designed for law enforcement, university employees benefit by gaining a better understanding of how emergency responses unfold, what to expect from first responders, and how to make informed, lifesaving decisions during a crisis.
By participating, employees help strengthen campus preparedness, enhance coordination with campus police, and build confidence in responding to high-stress situations. Ultimately, this training supports a safer, more resilient campus community for everyone.
