We understand that the path through college isn’t always smooth, and we appreciate your interest in returning to the university. This petition is your opportunity to share your story, reflect on your past academic challenges, and demonstrate your plan for success if reinstated.

✅ Please provide detailed, thoughtful answers (approximately 300 words per question) so that the Academic Reinstatement Committee can fully understand your situation and how we can best support you upon your return.

💡 What we’re looking for:

Clear reflection on what led to your dismissal
Honest assessment of the challenges you faced and the choices you made
A thoughtful, realistic plan for how you will approach your academic work differently
Clear academic and career goals, and an understanding of how returning will help you achieve them

📎 You may also upload documentation if you wish (for example, medical records or counselor statements), but this is not required.

⚠️ Incomplete or brief petitions may not be considered for reinstatement, or a new petition may be requested by the committee.

Please note: First-time dismissed undergraduate students will be eligible to petition for reinstatement after one term; students dismissed a second time will be eligible to petition for reinstatement after one year. Students will be notified by email of the academic reinstatement decision.
