Dear Faculty,
Happy New Year to all of you. Hope you all had a good holiday break. I am reaching out to you with my traditional message about library services and support available to you and your students this winter quarter.
I will be happy to provide tailored library instruction for your classes, either by Zoom or in person. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you would like to invite me as a guest speaker to your class, and we will further discuss the details of the teaching content and logistics. I will also be happy to create online course-specific library guides to support your students’ learning. In addition, if you would like to, feel free to add me as an embedded librarian in your Canvas course.
Please encourage your students to reach out to me for an individual research consultation by email ldeng@ewu.edu or by phone at 509-359-2333. This quarter I will have my office hours on Thursdays from 12:00pm-2:00pm. So, students can stop by my office (Library M04) to chat and ask me any questions.
Finally, as your subject library liaison, I would welcome suggestions or requests for new books or other materials to support your disciplinary curriculum as much as our library budget allows. Feel free to send those requests directly to me.
