Dear Faculty,
Happy New Year! As you are returning to campus from the holiday break, I would like to remind you about the library services and support available to you and your students this winter quarter.
Do not hesitate to reach out to me for any library instruction support you may need! I am happy to provide tailored library instruction for your students via Zoom or in person. If you would like to schedule a face-to-face instruction session with me, I encourage you to do so at your earliest convenience to secure the date and time that will work for both of us. Also please continue to encourage your students to contact me if they need further library research support by email ldeng@ewu.edu.
As you are aware, the Library and School of Psychology jointly provide access to Academic Writer, a new online APA style writing resource. You can also access it through A-Z Databases List. I am happy to let you know I will be providing a series of training sessions in January and February on how to integrate Academic Writer into your Canvas courses and help your students master APA-formatted scholarly writing.
In particular, I will show you how you can use the Content Selection Page in Canvas to select specific topics from the Learning Center in Academic Writer that you would like students to focus on. All trainings will be offered online via Zoom. No registration is required to attend. You will only need to attend one of the training sessions that will be offered.
