Spokane Campuses
EWU’s current downtown locations are the Catalyst Building, SIERR Building, and WSU’s Health Science Building
Catalyst
The Catalyst building, a joint project of Avista Development and McKinstry, provides Eastern students with modern, high tech-classrooms and immersive learning experiences. Eastern expanded into the state-of-the-art Catalyst building in 2020, giving students and faculty the space and proximity to work directly with local business and industry experts.
SIERR
The Spokane Inland Empire Railroad (SIERR) Building is a turn-of-the-century landmark with a bright future due to Emerald Initiative’s renovation. The renovation updated both floor plates and infrastructure, creating a green office environment serviced by the latest in energy-efficient construction and infrastructure.
The location of the Nursing and Communication Sciences and Disorders programs within the Health Peninsula — a hub for research, development and advancement of health sciences — will help to further strengthen the university’s partnerships with other health education centers in the area.
In 2025, EWU received state legislative funding to establish a new Dental Therapy program, creating an immediate opportunity to better connect the College of Health Science and Public Health and health-focused programs, which are predominately located throughout EWU’s Spokane locations.
Riverpoint
Eastern Washington University’s Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Dental Hygiene programs are all located in the Health Sciences Building on the Riverpoint campus that is shared with WSU.
