These rules help keep everyone safe, respectful, and able to learn. When using computers in the lab: Follow all instructions from your instructors and act responsibly at all times. Internet access is for learning only. Do not visit inappropriate, offensive, or unrelated websites. Do not send or post harassing, rude, or unwanted messages to anyone. Do not try to access systems you are not allowed to use, break into accounts, bypass security, or violate copyright or software licenses. Do not connect personal devices to the EWU network. Lab computers may not be used for illegal or disruptive activities, including: Harassing or targeting other users Downloading or spreading malware Damaging or deleting equipment, software, or data Interrupting or spying on electronic communications Blocking others from using the system Unless your instructor specifically tells you to do so, you may NOT: Interfere with the normal operation of computers, networks, or equipment. Install, copy, or run programs meant to damage systems or overload networks (such as viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or other malware). Intercept, analyze, record, or tamper with network traffic or data packets. All federal and state laws, as well as EWU policies, apply. Any misconduct may result in immediate removal from the camp.
