Showalter Hall Auditorium and University Productions

University Productions provides professional audio, video, lighting, and technical event services for events across Eastern Washington University. We support a wide range of campus activities—from administrative functions and academic programs to performances, lectures, and student-focused events.

Our mission is to deliver reliable, high-quality production support that helps students, faculty, staff, and university partners create successful, engaging events for the EWU community.

University Productions offers comprehensive, mobile production support for events of all sizes and locations across campus, including:

• Professional sound reinforcement
• Video projection and display systems
• Event and stage lighting
• Livestreaming and recording services
• Full technical event operations and on-site support

Our team is equipped to support in-person, hybrid, and virtual events with consistent quality and professional oversight.

Our flagship venue is Showalter Auditorium, a historic and elegant performance space located in the heart of campus. Opened in 1914 as the centerpiece of Showalter Hall, the auditorium remains one of EWU’s most iconic venues.

With seating for approximately 625 guests, Showalter Auditorium serves as the primary home base for University Productions and the university’s premier showcase facility for concerts, lectures, ceremonies, and special events.

Showalter Auditorium operates seven days a week and maintains an active event calendar throughout the academic year. To ensure availability and allow adequate planning time, we recommend submitting event requests at least 30 days in advance.
