As a member of Washington Campus Coalition for the Public Good, EWU has the opportunity to recognize and award two of our outstanding student civic leaders. This award recognizes students that are addressing critical issues on their campuses and in their communities through service and social entrepreneurship.
Award recipients will receive the following:
- A letter and certificate acknowledging their leadership and receipt of the award
- Invitation to the awards ceremony held in Seattle, Washington (March 2025) including networking opportunities with other students
- Automatic consideration and eligibility for the Governor’s Student Civic Leader Award (including a financial award)
Students are nominated by faculty, staff, administrators, community partners, or can self-nominate for consideration by their institution’s president. Both graduate and undergraduate students are eligible for nomination.
Student Nominee Criteria
- Currently enrolled in a Washington Campus Coalition for the Public Good institution as a graduate or undergraduate student (they can be graduating before the ceremony)
- Demonstrates civic engagement and leadership through social entrepreneurship, service, advocacy, campus clubs/organizations, volunteering, and/or work-study positions
