Please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/1Sj4cXGy8yINltwAgz9QF-lELdcY7oKPR\/edit?usp=share_link&amp;ouid=113011517693141140189&amp;rtpof=true&amp;sd=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Symposium Poster Template<\/a> for an example.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Posters are generally made in PowerPoint (<a href=\"https:\/\/inside.ewu.edu\/it\/service\/software\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Microsoft 365 is free to EWU students<\/a>) or Adobe InDesign (available in the MultiMedia Commons-MMC), or other apps like Canva.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Layout should be two or three columns that present from your left to right.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use pictures and figures as much as possible to communicate your research.&nbsp; Lots of text will make the readers&#8217; eyes glaze over after a couple of posters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Font size should be visible from 3 to 6 feet away so, titles should be at least 50+ point font, with names and affiliations (University, department, City, State) using 40+ point font, abstracts and other text between 24 to 36 point font.&nbsp; Gotham, Arial, Helvetica, or Open Sans are great fonts to use because they have consistent thickness and are simple.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use an <a href=\"https:\/\/inside.ewu.edu\/srcws\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/354\/2023\/03\/H_RGB_EWUlogo-003.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EWU Logo,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1_zWPEDH8SDqQ93cRUB4puHJNipy917GP\/view?usp=share_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Symposium Logo<\/a> or departmental logos (see your mentor) to help identify where you are from and did the research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Poster template<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/1Sj4cXGy8yINltwAgz9QF-lELdcY7oKPR\/edit?usp=share_link&amp;ouid=113011517693141140189&amp;rtpof=true&amp;sd=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Poster Template<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Printing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students should upload their Symposium poster files to the following Google Drive folder: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1MVPVOtUxioBZwR-Rdeuspx8ANn-7tkm3\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1MVPVOtUxioBZwR-Rdeuspx8ANn-7tkm3\">Symposium 2026 Poster Submissions<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please name your poster file using <strong>only your EWU username<\/strong> (example: jsmith9).\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Avoid using ID numbers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid using non-EWU usernames.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please do not include additional words such as \u201cposter,\u201d \u201cfinal,\u201d or similar terms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you need to make a correction or submit an updated version after your initial upload, please upload the revised file titled: <strong>\u201cEWUusername Corrected\u201d<\/strong>.
