Childcare
The EWU Children’s Center is located on the Cheney campus and can be contacted at 509.359.2025. In conjunction with the YMCA of the Inland Northwest, the Center provides state-licensed care for children ranging from 6 weeks to 10 years of age.
There are a number of childcare options in the Spokane area. Student parents looking for childcare options close to the Spokane campus can consult the Washington State Department of Early Learning for resources on finding a licensed facility and getting help for paying for child care.
Nursing Rooms/Lactation Space
Individuals interested in reserving private space for lactation and/or nursing on the Spokane campus can contact EWU Spokane Student Services at 509.828.1394 or WSU Student Affairs at 509.358.7978.
H.O.M.E. Program
The H.O.M.E. (Helping Ourselves Means Education) program is affiliated with the Women’s Studies Center and provides support services to EWU student parents by connecting students to community resources, networking opportunities, scholarships and family-friendly activities.
