Solicitation Information

Effective July 26, 2009, state agencies and higher education institutions must use Washington Electronic Business Solutions (WEBS) as Washington’s common vendor registration and bid notification system. Both formal and informal competitive solicitations need to be posted on WEBS.

To receive solicitation information, sign up with WEBS.

– Washington’s Electronic Business Solution (WEBS)

Questions about the registration process may be directed to WEBSCustomerService@des.wa.gov or 360.902.7400, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Informal and Formal Bid Thresholds

  • Purchase contracts for goods and services that are projected to be between $10,000 and $100,000 will be categorized as an informal bid opportunity. This does not apply to goods and services that are under an authorized contract.
  • Purchase contracts projected to exceed $100,000 will be categorized as formal bid opportunities. This does not apply for purchases that are under an authorized contract.

Other Information:

  1. DO NOT mail merchandise to a department based on a phone conversation. A purchase order is the vendor’s guarantee of payment.

We encourage and appreciate your interest in the University procurement process.

Please do not mail catalogs, the Purchasing Staff prefers to work from a vendor’s website.

The Procurement Office address is not to be included on mailing labels or distributed to any other businesses.
