Prior to submission, proposals are reviewed for completeness. Pre-Award staff will review requirements to ensure that all documents are complete, return sections to the PD/PI for modification or editing if necessary and then assemble the proposal for submission.
Required approval documents
All key personnel must complete the required compliance documents prior to proposal submission. It is the PD/PI’s responsibility to ensure that all forms are completed by all key personnel and that their College procedures are followed.
Please remember that the internal approval form must be signed by the appropriate dean and on file in the grants office before a proposal can be submitted.

Submission process/proposal authorization
All proposals submitted by faculty and staff are done so under the auspices of Eastern Washington University. As such, the university is attesting to comply with the terms and conditions defined by the sponsor and is certifying that all statutory and regulatory requirements will be followed.
Pre-Award staff submit all proposal documents as directed in the proposal guidelines on behalf of the PD/PI to the funder. The Executive Director of the OGRD is the only authorized signatory that can sign/certify all proposal submissions for the university.
