Dr. Lamm is the current PI on the Noyce Grant. She strives to provide postitive learning outcomes for all students. Her research focuses on synthesizing polymers and peer based learning opportunities. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Bo Idsardi, PhD<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assistant Professor of Biology Education Director of Science Education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Idsardi studies K-12 science teacher preparation and undergraduate STEM teaching and learning. Recent projects including the effectiveness of scaling up the flipped classroom approach, student perspectives of online STEM courses during Covid-19, using the 5E instructional model to promote active learning in undergraduate STEM courses, and the congruence between undergraduate STEM instructors\u2019 teaching practices and their conceptions of how students learn.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Melissa Graham, PhD<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MESA Director<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Graham is the Director of EWU\u2019s Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Achievement (MESA) program. Dr. Graham\u2019s research and teaching interests center on preservice and practicing mathematics teacher learning, especially related to fostering a sense of belonging. Much of her research incorporates lesson study as a tool for teacher learning and developing mathematical knowledge for teaching. Dr. Graham is also an active member of the Mathematics department\u2019s College in the High School program..<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Gus Nollmeyer, EdD<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associate Professor, School of Education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Nollmeyer teaches elementary classroom management, elementary science and social studies methods, instructional media, and a variety of other undergraduate and graduate courses. Prior to coming to Eastern, Nollmeyer taught elementary school, served as a curriculum coach and educational consultant, ran an educational business, and was an adjunct professor.
