September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and EWU Human Resources is providing information and resources to help everyone learn more about how we can support ourselves and those we care about to prevent suicides in our families and communities.

Here are some of the EAP resources to help:

Newsletters
• The Employee Newsletter features five steps that you can take to help yourself or a loved one who may be experiencing thoughts of suicide. There are free learning opportunities available through the University of Washington’s “Forefront Suicide Prevention” to educate staff, mental health providers and firearms owners.

EAP is offering these additional resources to support your wellbeing at work and at home:

This month’s on-demand seminar, called “Open Communication: Powerful Ways to Create It, is available beginning Tuesday, Sept. 20.
