Bakima has been accepted to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gonzaga.edu\">Gonzaga University<\/a>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gonzaga.edu\/school-of-education\/graduate\/m-a-clinical-mental-health-counseling\">MA in Clinical Mental Health\u00a0Counseling<\/a> program<b>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>From the Gonzaga Clinical Mental Health Counseling Student Learning Outcomes website:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Students experience a transformational learning environment that honors the power of relationships and the importance of self-reflection and intentional personal growth promoting well-being contributing to effective counseling in service to and for others.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Bakima will graduate from EWU in 2023,\u00a0majoring in Psychology through the Honors Program. For her 2022 Summer Research Internship, Bakima worked with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ewu.edu\/experts\/jillene-seiver\/\">Dr. Jillene Seiver<\/a> on a research project titled <a href=\"https:\/\/in.ewu.edu\/mcnair\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2023\/02\/Bakima.Poster-McNair-Symposium.-Sm22.-Growth-through-Covid.pptx.pdf\"><em>Growth in Adults through the Covid-19 Pandemic<\/em><\/a>. Bakima has seven years of experience in professional life coaching, mediation, and end-of-life facilitation applications. In counseling, her aim is to educate clients on self-advocacy and somatic approaches to healing.
