Gallardo Research, Student Leadership &amp; Advocacy Symposium<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/inside.ewu.edu\/mcnair\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/131\/2022\/05\/Christina-Hudson-replacement-844x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Christina Hudson replacement\" style=\"width:300px\" title=\"Christina Hudson replacement\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>From the BlackPast.org Factsheet:<\/em> BlackPast.org, founded on February 1, 2007, is broadly conceived to provide reference information on people of African ancestry in the United States and around the world. BlackPast.org is supported by a volunteer staff of twelve and nearly 900 volunteer contributors from six continents. The website has more than 7,200 pages and is free and ungated. New features are added regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christina&#8217;s contributions include profiles on marine biologist, environmental strategist, and policy expert&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackpast.org\/african-american-history\/people-african-american-history\/ayana-e-johnson-1980\/\">Ayana Elizabeth Johnson<\/a>; biomedical engineer, patented inventor, and author of children&#8217;s literature <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackpast.org\/african-american-history\/arlyne-simon-1986\/\">Dr. Arlyne Simon<\/a>;&nbsp;and queer actor, writer, producer, social media marketing manager, and forager <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackpast.org\/african-american-history\/people-african-american-history\/alexis-nikole-nelson-1992\/\">Alexis Nikole Nelson<\/a> who rose to popularity on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@alexisnikole?lang=en\">TikTok&nbsp;as Black Forager<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christina&#8217;s articles further BlackPast.org&#8217;s mission of providing a global audience with reliable and accurate information on the history of African America and of people of African ancestry around the world.
