DESCRIPTION:What: SurveyMonkey Planned Outage \nWhen: Saturday\, May 23\, 2020\, 9:00 am to Saturday\, May 23\, 2020\, 4:00 pm \nImpact: SurveyMonkey will be unavailable \nScheduled SurveyMonkey maintenance to upgrade infrastructure \nNote:  All other systems\, including Banner\, email\, InsideEWU\, the EWU website\, Canvas\, and virtual labs will be unaffected. \n\n\nMessage from SurveyMonkey\nWe’re reaching out to make you aware of a series of infrastructure upgrades we have planned over the next few months. We’ll conduct the first phase of this effort on May 23\, when SurveyMonkey will be unavailable for approximately 8 hours starting at 9am P (4pm UTC).  We’ll finalize times and duration for the second upgrade after May 23\, and I’ll be sure to communicate it with you as soon as we have those details.\n\nGiven the length of the upgrade\, please feel free to share this information with the relevant members of your team. We want to make sure that we are doing all that we can to minimize the impact of this upgrade on your survey programs.With the volume of surveys and responses that flow through SurveyMonkey growing every day\, we periodically take steps to get ahead of the growth we’re seeing. Our infrastructure and engineering teams have been working for months to build out new environments that will enable that growth. These upgrades will help us get there and continue to support you!\n\nIn the weeks ahead of the upgrade\, we will have in-product banners notifying users of the coming downtime. During the upgrade\, we will display “maintenance pages” to let users and respondents know what’s happening. We will also hold any survey email invitations until service is restored.\n\nWe chose this date and time as it has historically been one of our least active periods for surveys and responses\, and again\, we are committed to minimizing any impact this may have to your business. we’ll continue to keep you updated on these events as we get closer to the date\, so expect to hear from us a few more times as we approach May 23.
