SUMMARY:Words & Visuals: Narrative to the Abstract
DESCRIPTION:Join Artists-In-Residence at The Hive® in Studio E\, Noelle Bowden and Luu Melon for an immersive\, yet casual class that focuses on language used through art in different mediums. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nNoelle Bowden and Luu Melon are current Artists-In-Residence at The Hive®. They both combine text and visuals as part of their art but in very different ways. The combination of both mediums allows growth in the ability to tell a story or create a piece of art.  The images complement the words\, and the words complement the images. Noelle and Luu will lead the group through some exercises to elicit narrative and visuals and show how they can feed one another. You will then have time to narrate and create your own stories through different mediums. \nNo prior skill is needed and all materials will be supplied. Wear an apron\, or clothes you don’t mind getting messy. Bring your creative spirit and willingness to experiment with new art techniques. \n \nBy attending library programs\, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media. \nWe strive to make events welcoming for people of all abilities. To request accommodations (i.e. hearing assistance\, ASL requests\, or other ADA inquiries)\, email smurphy@spokanelibrary.org. \nFor all event information inquiries\, email telref@spokanelibrary.org or call 509-444-5300.
