Calvin Walds is a writer, educator, and sound and image-maker from Detroit, Michigan. His poems and texts have been published in African-American Review, Hyperallergic, DIAGRAM, Black Warrior Review (and other publications). His video work has been shared in CTRL-V and Tri-Quarterly. His chapbook- Flee- is out on Split/Lip Press. As an educator, he has taught in Sunflower County, in the Mississippi Delta, Ramallah, in the West Bank, among other places. He comes from a transdisciplinary academic background and studied for his MFA at UCSD in Cross-Genre Writing.
