Culture plays a large role in our classrooms\u2014it shapes instructors\u2019 and students\u2019 expectations, behaviors, and attitudes. By raising our awareness of the ways that our and others\u2019 cultural backgrounds may impact effective instruction, we can begin to widen our teaching repertoire to include approaches that are more likely to be successful with a wide range of students. In this session, we will reflect on our own experiences with culture in the classroom, widen our understanding of cultural impacts, and brainstorm responsive strategies together.<\/p>\n
