SUMMARY:Workshop: A Professor's Guide to Managing Time and Stress
DESCRIPTION:The academic profession represents one of the most attractive and satisfying careers that exist\, but it also poses a complexity and myriad of demands on our time that is unlike no other profession. In this workshop\, some tips on how to manage your time and stress\, while aiming to optimize productivity and staying on top of your game\, will be offered. \nChristian K. Hansen is professor and chair of the Department of Mathematics. Since joining EWU in 1993\, he has served in a variety of leadership positions including CSTEM Associate Dean\, and chair of several faculty organization committees. He is the author of the book “Time Management for Department Chairs” (Jossey-Bass\, 2011) and frequently provides training and professional development opportunities for department chairs around the country.  He received his MS in Electrical Engineering (1988) and Ph.D. in Statistics (1991) from the Technical University of Denmark. \nThis workshop will be offered in-person and virtually. \nTo join us virtually please use https://inside.ewu.edu/facultycommons and enter the FC ID # 946-833-6002. \nView the Event Below
