SUMMARY:New Faculty Workshop: Culturally Responsive Pedagogy
DESCRIPTION:Culture plays a large role in our classrooms—it shapes instructors’ and students’ expectations\, behaviors\, and attitudes. By raising our awareness of the ways that our and others’ cultural backgrounds may impact effective instruction\, we can begin to widen our teaching repertoire to include approaches that are more likely to be successful with a wide range of students.
